And so begins our quest to change the world...well the college world at least

It all started at one of those so-called "classy" college parties. Josh (the boyfriend) and I looked at all the cheap wine offered  - from boxes of Franzia to handle-sized bottles of piss. There must be something out there that's good yet cheap, right? And a late night text started the idea for Save the Cork! Where did the name come from? It's a phrase I'm always yelling at the bf after I read this troubling news. Can you imagine?! Also, natural corks are a  sustainable industry, but more on that later.

This blog is dedicated to introducing poor college students, or even the classy yet savvy folks, to wine that is less than $10 but does not taste like earwax. Sure, we'll review the occasional $15 bottle here when we find one we have to brag about. But, we've both been spoiling ourselves lately, and our bank accounts show it. Thus, the second purpose of this blog.

So readers, we will sacrifice our livers for the sake of your wallets. Boxes may make an appearance, so don't fret. We strive to open a new bottle a week - maybe 2 - and aim to give a full review, along with sarcastic comments here and there to keep you intrigued.
